Teams announced for Franklin Templeton Shootout

Greg Norman, host of the Franklin Templeton Shootout, has announced the pairings for the 24th annual Franklin Templeton Shootout, which will take place at Tiburon Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Fla., Dec. 5-9.
Throughout the years, the Shootout has contained many of golf’s greatest players. The post-season event will once again feature a modified alternate-shot format during the first round, best ball on Saturday and a final-round scramble.
Here is a closer look at the 12 teams for the 2012 Franklin Templeton Shootout:
Fredrik Jacobson & Greg Norman: These two will be playing together for the first time. Norman will be making his 23rd appearance
Keegan Bradley & Brendan Steele: The defending champions will attempt to do something that has not been accomplished since 2004—win back-to-back titles.
Dustin Johnson & Ian Poulter: The 2010 champions return for a run at the title.
Jerry Kelly & Steve Stricker: This marks the fifth consecutive year the 2009 champions will play together.
Jason Dufner & Vijay Singh: This will be a rookie team at the Shootout.
Stewart Cink & Carl Pettersson: Another first-time team in the Shootout. Cink will be making his seventh appearance in the Shootout.
Davis Love III & Brandt Snedeker: The U.S. Ryder Cup captain and one of his picks for this year’s matches will be a team for the first time.
Bud Cauley & Rickie Fowler: Another first year team and a youthful pair who have enjoyed success this year.
Justin Leonard & Scott Verplank: This duo has become a perennial Shootout contender in recent years and has been paired together four times in the past six Shootouts.
Charles Howell III & Rory Sabbatini: This represents the first time these two have played together in the Shootout.
Mark Calcavecchia & Mike Weir: These two major championship winners will be playing as a team for the first time.
Sean O’Hair & Kenny Perry: This will be O’Hair’s second appearance in the Shootout and first time with Perry.
