Devon Brouse, head women’s golf coach at Purdue, will be inducted into the Women's Golf Coaches Association Hall of Fame on Dec. 11. Brouse becomes the 45th member of the WGCA hall and the first coach to be inducted into the WGCA hall and its counterpart on the men's side with the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Brouse is in his 15th season with the Boilermakers as the head coach and director of golf operations for the men’s and women’s teams. Brouse, a 1971 Purdue graduate, returned to his alma mater in 1998.

He has led the women to a top-10 finish in each of the past seven NCAA Championships. The women’s team won its first national championship in 2010.

Brouse is a five-time Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year and was named the WGCA and Golfweek’s National Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2010. Eight of Brouse’s players have been named Big Ten Player of the Year and eight more have won Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors.

In addition to coaching, Brouse is responsible for overseeing operations at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Ind.
