No. 12 Purdue

2011-12 Golfweek rank: 27

Go-to girl: Laura Gonzalez

Season outlook: This is the last season Purdue will have members of its 2010 NCAA Championship team on the roster, and those links are strong. The Boilermakers return a fierce pair of seniors in Laura Gonzalez and Paula Reto. Both players finished last year inside Golfweek’s top 25 individual rankings, and both finished in the top 15 at the NCAA finals: Gonzalez at T-3 and Reto at T-14.

Gonzalez and Reto are capable of putting up low scores week in and week out. Two players behind them – senior Kishi Sinha and sophomore Aurora Kan, both returning from a squad that finished ninth at NCAAs – are coming into their own and should consistently contribute, too. Also expect freshman Margaux Vanmol of Belgium, the 2011 British Girls Amateur champion, to challenge for a spot.
