Cantlay, Martin, Sadlowski paired at Boise Open
This may be one of the most intriguing groups of the year on the Web.com Tour, even though there isn't a single tour member among the threesome.
Patrick Cantlay, Casey Martin and Jamie Sadlowski will tee off at 2:55 p.m. Thursday in the first round of the Albertsons Boise Open at Hillcrest Country Club. Their second-round tee time is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday.
Cantlay, who was the world's No. 1 amateur when he turned pro after this year's U.S. Open, Monday qualified for the event with a 63 at Banbury Golf Course in Eagle, Idaho. Martin, the head men's coach at Oregon, and Sadlowski, a two-time Re/Max World Long Drive champion, received sponsor exemptions into the event.
Martin qualified for this year's U.S. Open, his first PGA Tour or Web.com Tour event since 2006, and missed the cut by one shot. Sadlowski also received an exemption into last year's Boise Open, shooting a second-round 66 to make the cut. He tied for 75th at 3-over 287.
