Kentucky came from behind on Wednesday to win the Old Waverly Intercollegiate. The Wildcats finished two shots ahead of runner-up Tulane.

Kentucky completed 54 holes at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Miss., in 14-over 878. A final-round 2-over 290 was the fifth lowest in program history. This is the third title the Wildcats have won under third-year head coach Gold Johansson Borst.

“I could not be more proud of this group of girls,” Borst said. “We have worked hard every day and we never stopped fighting today. I can’t say enough about their passion and their belief in themselves and in this team.”

Tulane finished the tournament at 16 over and Arkansas, Golfweek’s preseason No. 20 team, was third another two shots back.

Tulane sophomore Gemma Dryburgh shot steady rounds of 69-70-69 to take individual medalist honors for the first time in her career. Dryburgh finished two shots ahead of Arkansas freshman Gabriela Lopez. Mississippi State’s Ally McDonald and Tulane’s Emily Penttila tied for third at 4-under 212.
