Putnam, Svoboda, Van Aswegen lead in Boise
Three players opened the Web.com Tour’s Albertson’s Boise Open with 9-under 62 on Thursday to take a share of the first-round lead. Michal Putnam, Andrew Svoboda and Tyrone Van Aswegen went low at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, Idaho, and share a one-shot lead.
All three players were bogey free for the day, and Van Aswegen and Svoboda made eagle at the par-5 second.
Glen Day and Jeff Gove are next on the leaderboard, followed by two more players – former Illinois standout Luke Guthrie and Sam Saunders, grandson of Arnold Palmer – at 6-under 64.
Four more players are tied for eighth at 6-under 65.
