All five Illinois players finished in the top 12, as the Illini men rolled to a 21-stroke victory Sunday at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate in Normal, Ill. The Illini, with three freshman in their lineup, finished at 18-over 870, followed by Central Arkansas (891), host Illinois State (893) and Missouri State (894).

Illinois was led by senior Mason Jacobs, who tied for third individually at 5-over 218. Freshman Charlie Danielson (T-7), junior Thomas Pieters (ninth) and freshmen David Kim (T-10) and Thomas Detry (T-12) rounded out the Illini lineup. Pieters, the defending NCAA individual champion, opened with an uncharacteristic 8-over 79 Saturday morning, but bounced back in Round 2 that afternoon with a 3-under 68.

Central Arkansas sophomore Pep Angles shot even-par 213 (70-70-73) to win the individual title by four shots over Daily Young of Missouri State.
