The LSU men shot even-par 864 to take a five-shot victory at the Shoal Creek Invitational hosted by Graeme McDowell, the second strong performance to open the season for the Tigers, who tied for fourth against a tough field earlier this month at the Carpet Capital Collegiate Classic.

LSU was led by Stewart Jolley and Curtis Thompson, who tied for first place individually with Rodolfo Cazaubon of North Texas at 6-under 210 at Shoal Creek Country Club. No playoff was held, so the trio shared medalist honors. The Tigers also got a top-5 finish from Myles Lewis, who tied for fifth at 2-under 214.

Houston finished second at 5-over 869, followed by North Texas (873) and host Alabama-Birmingham (876).
