Thursday, September 27, 2012

Logan Iverson has verbally committed to Colorado State for the fall of 2013. Iverson also made an unofficial visit to Boise State and received an offer from Weber State before committing.

Iverson, from Kalispell, Mont., said the city of Fort Collins, Colo., was a comfortable fit for him. He’s excited at the prospect of using Colorado State’s indoor golf facility and playing for head coach Christian Newton and assistant coach Bret Guetz.

“I couldn’t find a better set of coaches that I would like teaching me,” Iverson said. “Their coaching style seems fun but intense at the same time.”

He hopes to major in business.

Iverson was second in the Montana Junior State Amateur, and represented Idaho at the Junior Americas Cup. He finished 44th individually at that event. Iverson also won the Barnett Memorial Day Amateur.
