No. 18 North Florida won the Atlantic Sun Conference title by 14 shots over No. 77 East Tennessee State. The Ospreys are the first back-to-back A-Sun champions since Jacksonville State in 2002-03.

The Ospreys held a one-shot lead over Kennesaw State after 36 holes, but shot the low score of the final day (291) in the final round to win easily. East Tennessee State's final-round 292 allowed the Bucs to move into second place as Kennesaw State struggled to a final-round 306.

"I am extremely proud of the play of our entire team," said North Florida head coach Scott Schroeder, who's lead his team to three A-Sun titles in the last six seasons. "It took a total team effort for us to defend our conference title. It was really impressive to see our underclassmen step up and take the lead for us, especially in the final round. I"

North Florida sophomore M.J. Maguire won the individual title with a 1-under 215 (75-72-68) total; his final-round 68 was the low score of the tournament and the only sub-70 round. It was the first career title for Maguire, who is No. 31 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings. He finished two shots better than East Tennessee State's Rhys Pugh, the 2011 European Amateur champion.

A sophomore also posted North Florida's second-best score. Joey Petronio finished fourth with a 4-over 220 total (72-76-72). Kevin Phelan, who was named Monday to Europe's Palmer Cup team, finished fifth at 5-over 221 (71-75-75). Sean Dale, the No. 2 player in the country, shot a final-round 80 to finish 16th.
