26. Georgia

2012-13 Golfweek rank: 19

Go-to girl: Sophomore Manuela Carbajo Re

Season outlook: The loss of Emilie Burger, who posted two victories as a senior last year, is a big one for the Bulldogs. Maunela Carbajo Re and Rocio Sanchez Lobato must step up to fill the void if Georgia is finally going to end its NCAA finals drought, which has now reached four years.

Re had six top-15 finishes, including three top 10s, as a freshman and finished No. 49 in the Golfweek College Rankings. Improved consistency will be the key for Lobato, who won the FSU Match-Up but didn’t post another top 10.

The Bulldogs also lost No. 4 starter Kailey Walsh, who transferred to Miami (Fla.), so second-year coach Josh Brewer needs at least one or two members of a trio of freshmen – Harang Lee, Sammi Lee and Mary Ellen Shuman – to make a big splash early. Also returning after a redshirt year is sophomore Isabel Silva Zamora, whose sister Marta was Golfweek’s Player of the Year in 2010-2011.
