Hoops coach makes ace, albatross in 2-month span

Some golfers go their whole lives without making an ace, a double eagle or both.
Iowa State men's basketball coach Fred Hoiberg did both in the span of two months.
Hoiberg, playing in the Coaches vs. Cancer Charity Classic Monday at Wakonda Club in Des Moines, aced the 135-yard, par-3 17th.
"It was exciting because I was hitting the ball pretty pathetically to be honest with you," Hoiberg told WHO-TV in Des Moines. "I'd love to tell you that I pured a pitching wedge that had a little backspin on it into the hole, but I bladed it a little bit. It had a little side-spin on it. It hit the flag and dropped. I was floored."
Just two months earlier, Hoiberg, who played 10 years in the NBA, had an albatross on a 555-yard par 5 at Cabo del Sol's Ocean Course in Mexico.
