11. Georgia

2012-13 Golfweek ranking: 15

Go-to guy: Senior Keith Mitchell

Season outlook: Depth will be a major strength for the Bulldogs this season, who return four of their five starters from last year’s squad that finished 19th at the NCAA Championship: seniors Keith Mitchell and Joey Garber, junior Nicholas Reach and sophomore Lee McCoy. T.J. Mitchell is the only departure.

Senior Michael Cromie also returns after being one of four Bulldogs to qualify for the U.S. Amateur. Reach, junior Sam Straka and freshman Greyson Sigg are the others. Sigg, who notched top 10s at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, Palmetto Amateur and Southeastern Amateur this year, is one of four freshmen on this year’s team, joining Branson Davis, Parker Derby and Jaime Lopez Rivarola.

The Georgia program has reached the NCAA finals in 15 of 17 years under head coach Chris Haack, including two national titles. Their depth could allow them to compete for another one this season.
