Women's countdown: No. 9 Arizona
We are counting down the top 30 women's teams heading into the fall college season.

2012-13 Golfweek rank: 8
Go-to girl: Lindsey Weaver
Season outlook: It’s hard to predict the amount of success Arizona could experience this season because the Wildcats lose a couple of top players and add a couple of new talents to the roster, but if the new players mesh with the old, watch out.
Arizona returns a core of three juniors, none of whom ranked outside the top 105 in last season's Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings: Manon Gidali (35), Kendall Prince (57) and Andrea Vilarasau (101).
The Wildcats lost sophomore Janie Jackson, who ranked No. 75, to Alabama, the state where Jackson grew up, and junior Patricia Garcia to a wrist injury, but head coach Laura Ianello managed to fill those gaps with a higher-ranked transfer of her own and a top freshman.
Lindsey Weaver, of Scottsdale, Ariz., left Notre Dame to play for the Wildcats after finishing last season ranked No. 20 by Golfweek. She spent much of the fall inside the top 5. Jessica Vasilic, a tall and strong Swede who recently appeared on Europe’s Junior Solheim Cup team, also arrives in Tucson this fall. That gives the Wildcats a formidable lineup from top to bottom.
