Baylor, No. 28 in the Golfweek/Sagarin college women's team rankings, won the Hurricane Invitational on Feb. 5, shooting 31-over 883 to finish four shots ahead of Texas State. Oklahoma State’s Kelsey Vines won the individual title by four shots at 4-under 209 at Deering Bay Yacht and CC.

Vines collected the third individual title of her collegiate career. In the fall, Vines had three top-5 finishes for Oklahoma State. No. 4 in the Golfweek/Sagarin college women's individual rankings, Vines shot rounds of 70-68-71. Texas State’s Krista Puisite finished in second after firing 71-70-72.

This is the first win for the Bears this season. Baylor tied for second twice, at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic and the Tar Heel Invitational.
