Kim earns LPGA exemption in Gonzaga victory

Gonzaga's Alice Kim earned an exemption into the LPGA's Kia Classic, shooting 1-under 215 to capture medalist honors at the UC Irvine Invitational on Tuesday
Kim used a first-round, 5-under 67 to distance herself from the field. She finished four shots ahead of runner-up Amy Anderson of North Dakota State.
Gonzaga also took the team title with a 21-over 885, 22 shots better than runner-up UC Irvine.
