Fans of Annika Sorenstam were greeted with a surprising photo on Twitter Tuesday, with the image showing her left index finger stitched up, and appearing to be missing the tip.

But, fans need not worry, because the LPGA legend is fine and will get the stitches out in a week. The accident occurred Jan. 3.

Her husband, Mike McGee, told Golfweek:

"She was doing her thing in the kitchen which she does every night and all the sudden I heard a screech. She said 'Mike, I need a big Band-Aid quickly please.' We cleaned it a little and it was apparent she'd need stitches, so she got them that night. The tip wasn't cut off. It basically made a big smiley face at the top of her left index finger. The stitches make it look like ground chuck.

"She's fine though. No damage other than the outside. Skiied the next day and has been back at it in the kitchen."
