SAN DIEGO – Tiger Woods maintained his two-shot lead Saturday at the Farmers Insurance Open. That’s because he didn’t hit a shot.

Only six players teed off Saturday because of heavy fog. The third round began at 10:20 a.m. – three hours after its scheduled start – but was suspended again five minutes later. Play was called for the day at 4 p.m. due to fog and darkness.

The third round will resume at 7 a.m. Sunday, and the tournament will run over into Monday. Tiger Woods, Billy Horschel and Casey Wittenberg will tee off at 9:10 a.m. Sunday in the final group. Woods is at 11 under and two shots ahead of Horschel. Wittenberg is 8 under.

Eighty-seven players made the cut at Torrey Pines. That normally would lead to a 54-hole cut to the low 70 and ties, but there will be no third-round cut in an attempt to save time. Players also will not be re-paired after the third round.

John Mallinger, Robert Garrigus and Hunter Mahan were the only players to complete a hole Saturday. All three parred No. 10 at Torrey Pines South. The first group off No. 1 – Chez Reavie, Boo Weekley and Mike Weir – failed to complete the hole before play was called.
