Mickelson hits backwards shot at Muirfield
Monday, July 15, 2013
We're still a few days away from the first tee time at the Open Championship at Muirfield, but already Phil Mickelson is making some incredible shots on the links.
During Monday's practice round at Muirfield, Mickelson found himself just off the putting surface with his ball in a tough spot, resting in some thick rough up against a hill. But instead of attempting a difficult shot on a severe down-slope, Mickelson decided to use the up-slope, turning away from the cup and hitting a high shot backwards to about 10 feet of the hole.
Pretty impressive, although we've seen Lefty do this before.
