Thomas Bjorn breaks $80,000 camera lens at Muirfield
Thursday, July 18, 2013
Thomas Bjorn hit a camera lens on the first hole at Muirfield after hitting out of the rough. In the video, you can see the lens spider-out and then barley make out what is on the screen.
Mike Tirico said that the camera lens costs $80,000, and that a bill would be sent to Denmark immediately to be replaced (jokingly).
Bjorn ended up making a double-bogey six on the hole and is currently 3 over through five holes during the first round of the Open Championship.
