Cheyenne Woods falls off the pace at Open de Espana
Cheyenne Woods’ second round at the Ladies European Tour's Open de Espana was about as far from her first as possible. After a career-low 64 to take the first-round lead, Woods struggled to find a birdie on Day 2. In fact, she didn’t make one until her final hole, the par-3 ninth.
Woods shot 6-over 78 on Friday at the Club de Campo in Madrid, Spain. She had two double bogeys, one on each side, and three other bogeys. That knocked her down the leaderboard to a tie for 19th.
Woods is now 2 under for the tournament, and six shots behind co-leaders Lee-Anne Pace and Celine Herbin. Players in the afternoon wave remain on the course.
