Hey everybody,

It has been a quick summer as always, as it seems every week is over before it even starts. I have been very fortunate to play some great events, both amateur and professional; it has been a blast! But most importantly, my one and only main goal was accomplished: I am going to be representing the United States in the 2013 Walker Cup. Words can't describe how excited I truly am to play for the USA in September.

Many questions have been asked about my decision to either turn pro or come back to school in the fall. I have decided I am going to turn pro the day after the Walker Cup in September. I am extremely excited to play amazing places against the best in the world week in and week out. It is a decision that was very tough to make, but I knew it was right for me. I loved every single day of my two years at Alabama, and would not be where I am now without them. Coach Seawell is an unbelievable coach, but an even better person. He was a huge reason I went to school at Alabama and fulfilled everything I would ask for in a head coach. I was very fortunate to play under both Scott Limbaugh and Rob Bradley as my assistant coaches my two years. Both of them made my experience better with being there not only as coaches, but as a good friend any person would have. I could go into long depth for each teammate and how much I will miss them, but that would bore everybody, haha. But the people I played with my two years will forever be my great friends (by their names we call(ed) them on the team); Hambone, Strobe, Leebo, BW, Cory, Trey, T Love, Willie, Rook, and Bigfoot. All of which had their own qualities I'll miss and was fortunate enough to spend my time at Alabama with.

I was so fortunate to have the people around me I did while at school at Alabama, and the support the team receives from others is beyond what anybody could expect. I am so happy I made the decision I did to go to Alabama and represent the university. To win SEC's, Regional's and the National Championship my final year was more than icing on the cake. I came to Alabama with the hope of winning rings, and as I told Coach Seawell we were 3/4, including two SEC Championships, and a National Championship runner up and victory – a very strong percentage. I can't thank everybody enough who has supported me at Alabama, and everything I have done. I am very excited for the rest of the summer as I have the Western Am, US Am, and Walker Cup left before my move to the professional stage. Although I will not be in school anymore, I will forever bleed crimson and be a part of the University of Alabama Golf Team.

Roll Tide!
