Brandt Snedeker continues busy stretch at Firestone
Brandt Snedeker doesn't plan on taking any tournaments off any time soon.
"If the PGA Tour has a tournament, I'm going to play," Snedeker said.
Snedeker enters the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, coming off his second win of the season, at the RBC Canadian Open.
"This is a great time of year to be playing your best golf," said Snedeker, who tied for 11th at the Open Championship the week before winning in Ontario.
"If you're playing poorly, sometimes you need a break, and sometimes when you're playing well, you don't want to take a break. I knew this stretch was coming."
After Bridgestone, Snedeker will get another shot at claiming his first major championship, at the PGA Championship Aug. 8-11 in Rochester, N.Y. He will then play in the Wyndham Championship before the FedEx Cup playoffs start Aug. 22-25 with The Barclays, the first of four playoff events.
"Now, I'm in the big part of my schedule, the important part of my schedule," Snedeker said, "and I feel like I'm rested and ready to go."
Snedeker, of course, is the defending FedEx Cup champion.
"(I played the) exact same schedule (last year)," he said, "and it worked out pretty well."
