Tiger Woods added to his birdie total – and his lead – Saturday at the WGC-Cadillac Championship.

Woods made seven birdies, including one at No. 18, to card a 5-under 67 and enter Sunday at 18 under, four shots ahead of Graeme McDowell.

He now has 24 birdies through three rounds, a 54-hole career record for Woods.

Woods got off to a hot start with three straight birdies to begin the round. But McDowell also started well, pulling into a tie for the lead at one point. But Woods pulled away down the stretch.

Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker are both 13 under heading into the final round while Rory McIlroy is 3 under after a 1-under 71 on Saturday.

Here's how it all unfolded:

• • •

Hole No. 18, Par 4, 467 yards

Tiger moves to No. 18 after making his first bogey since No. 5 and just his third in 39 holes.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger's last drive of the day is a good one, right down the middle and long. He finds the green with his approach and has about a 10-footer downhill for birdie. It's a dangerous putt, but Woods sinks it. That was big.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 5 under (18 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Phil Mickelson makes par at No. 18 to wrap up a 3-under 69. He's 13 under entering Sunday. Same goes for Steve Stricker, who sinks a short par at No. 18 to finish off a 69. He's 13 under overall, too.

• • •

Hole No. 17, Par 4, 419 yards

Tiger has struggled off the tee as of late and that's kept him from really running away with this thing.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger hits another tee shot right and catches a horrible break. The ball appears to get stuck in a palm tree. He is able to identify his ball and takes an unplayable. After the penalty, his third shot hits the green and rolls just into the back fringe. Tiger misses the long par putt and ends up with bogey.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 4 under (17 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: McDowell pars the hole after missing a 15-footer for birdie. Tiger leads by three shots now.

• • •

Hole No. 16, Par 4, 372 yards

Tiger now has 23 birdies so far this tournament, a new career record.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger drives way right at the short par-4 and then pitches to 15 feet. He misses the birdie and has to settle for par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 5 under (18 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: McDowell eagles No. 16 and moves to 14 under and into solo second, four shots back of Tiger.

• • •

Hole No. 15, Par 3, 175 yards

Last par 3 of the day for Tiger, who is five shots clear of the field now.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger sticks his tee shot inside 10 feet. He then makes the birdie, rolling it right into the middle of the cup.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 5 under (18 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Tiger still leads by five shots as Steve Stricker and Phil Mickelson have each moved to 13 under.

• • •

Hole No. 14, Par 4, 460 yards

The wind is starting to pick up and it's affecting some of Tiger's shots a little.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger finds the right side of the fairway, but then sends his approach long. He gets up-and-down again for par, though.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 4 under (17 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: McDowell double-bogeys No. 14. He's looked off since he three-putted No. 10 for par. He's 3 over since then and has dropped back to 12 under.

• • •

Hole No. 13, Par 3, 245 yards

Tiger has added to his lead despite two straight pars.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger leaves his tee shot short of the green, but gets up-and-down for par.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 4 under (17 under for the tournament)

• • •

Hole No. 12, Par 5, 603 yards

Tiger now has a three-shot lead on McDowell heading into this par 5.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger finds the fairway but due to the wind has to lay up. He has a 12-footer or so for birdie, but misses. Par for Tiger.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 4 under (17 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Michael Thompson birdies No. 17 to move to 11 under. He's 5 under on the round with one hole left.

Tiger has 22 birdies now, which equals his career-best through 54 holes – and he's still got eight holes to play today.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger chooses iron off the tee and then just misses the green with his approach. He putts from the fringe and rolls it a long way, but it goes just by the left of the hole. He has a 6-footer to save par and he makes it.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 4 under (17 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: McDowell finds a greenside bunker with his approach and ends up with his first bogey of the tournament.

• • •

Hole No. 10, Par 5, 551 yards

Tiger makes the turn at 3 under today, but that's after three birdies to start the round. The last hole and a half have been pretty good, though.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger drives his 5-wood right, just missing a fairway bunker. Tiger lays up into the left intermediate, just off the fairway. Good line to the hole and Tiger nearly holes it. It spins and stops a few feet past the hole. He makes birdie.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 4 under (17 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: McDowell reached that green in two, but three-putts for par and Tiger now has a two-shot lead.

• • •

Hole No. 9, Par 3, 169 yards

Tiger has the lead again and he'll look to add to it at the second par 3 of the day.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger finds the green with his tee shot and has about a 15-footer for birdie. He catches the right edge, but the ball doesn't go in. Tiger puts his hands on his knees after that one.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 3 under (16 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: McDowell misses his birdie putt left, so Tiger still has the lead. Also, Phil Mickelson makes the turn at even for the day and 10 under overall.

• • •

Hole No. 8, Par 5, 560 yards

Tiger has missed two straight fairways and his approaches have been poor, too. He's definitely not playing like he was early, but he has managed to avoid bogeys for the most part.

Hole wrap-up: Another missed fairway for Tiger, who sends this one right. he has to lay up before making a great third shot, sticking it to a couple feet. He makes the short birdie. That's what he needed to turn things around.

A birdie by McDowell at No. 6 has things all tied up now. Tiger has birdied No. 7 each of the past two days. Can he make it three straight days?

Hole wrap-up: Tiger's drive goes left and his approach is a ways away from the hole. A two-putt par for Tiger. McDowell misses an 8-footer for birdie and we're still tied.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2 under (15 under for the tournament)

Hole No. 6, Par 4, 442 yards

That one hurts a little, as Tiger now leads by just one again over McDowell. Woods has yet to make anything other than par at No. 6 through two rounds.

Elsewhere on the course: Keegan Bradley eagles No. 8 for the second straight day to move to 10 under overall.

• • •

Hole No. 5, Par 4, 394 yards

A big fist pump from Tiger after that par save. He birdied this hole on Friday, so he'll look to do it again and birdie his fourth hole of the day here.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger finds another fairway, but leaves his approach a little short and into the rough. He flops his next one 12 feet past and has another long par save. He can't deliver this time, though, as Tiger leaves this one a little right.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 2 under (15 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Phil Mickelson double-bogeyed No. 3, but has two birdies through five holes now. He's even for his round and 10 under overall.

• • •

Hole No. 4, Par 3, 236 yards

Three birdies to start the day for Tiger, who still leads by two as McDowell is 3 under on the round, as well.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger goes with 7-iron and carries the water, but he's just short of the green. He'll putt this one from more than 30 feet away and puts too much speed on it, running it a good 18 feet by. After a long look at it, Tiger steps up and drains the par save. That was a big-time putt.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 3 under (16 under for the tournament)

Hole No. 2, Par 4, 418 yards

Nice start for Tiger. Unfortunately, Graeme McDowell's was better and Tiger leads by just one.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 3 under (16 under for the tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Rory closes with a 1-under 71 after a bogey at No. 18. He's 3 under entering Sunday.

• • •

Hole No. 1, Par 5, 529 yards

Tiger goes with white shirt again to go along with gray pants and a white hat. He's made 17 birdies in two rounds. How many will he add today? We'll find out starting now as Tiger gets ready for his first hole of the day.

Hole wrap-up: Tiger's first drive of the day finds the right rough. He has to hit his approach through some trees and he's successful, finding the green about 12 feet from the hole. Tiger misses the putt and settles for birdie. Graeme McDowell eagles the hole, though, cutting Tiger's lead to one shot.

TIGER ON THE DAY: 1 under (14 under for the tournament)
