ORLANDO, Fla. – The conditions are near perfect at Bay Hill – temperatures in the 70s, clear skies and a light breeze – in what promises to be another interesting day at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Here's what the players are saying after their rounds Friday:

• • •

John Huh (3-under 69, 8 under for the tournament)

Huh, playing for just the second time in this tournament, finds himself in contention after a 3-under 69 Friday.

"It's been a while for me to be in contention, so I'd love to go out there and play (well) tomorrow and Sunday as well," Huh said.

• • •

J.J. Henry (5-under 67, 6 under for the tournament)

Henry made seven birdies en route to a second-round 5-under 67.

"For two days I'm really striking the ball well," Henry said. "Very demanding, difficult golf course. You kind of know what you've got in front of you. There are some holes where you've got to kind of be careful, and I was able to do that and made a couple putts. . . . I'm in a good spot, and I've got to continue hitting the fairway, hitting greens and making a couple putts, and I look forward to the weekend."

• • •

Bill Haas (6-under 66, 9 under for the tournament)

Haas carded a 6-under 66 to take the lead at 9 under after Friday's morning wave. It remains to be seen if his lead will hold, but there's no denying that it was a great round for Haas, who made no bogeys.

"I feel good about shooting two good scores at this place," Haas said. "I didn't know the media tent where it was. I've never been in here. Never had that much great success here, but I've always enjoyed coming. I had a nice week off last week, got some rest, got away from it, and just felt pretty good coming in."

• • •

Sergio Garcia (3-under 69, 3 under for the tournament)

Garcia responded after Thursday's even-par 72 with a 69 on Friday to ensure a spot in the weekend, and possibly put himself in position to make a run at the lead in the final two rounds.

"I'm kind of running almost on empty," Garcia said. "I'm looking forward to going home and relaxing for a couple weeks before The Masters. But I'll just try to hopefully keep doing some of the good things we did today and see if we can put out two good scores and see where that ends up. But the way I was feeling to be able to make the cut this week, it was already an achievement."

• • •

Phil Mickelson (7-over 79, 8 over for the tournament)

It was not a good day for Mickelson, who made two bogeys, a double bogey, and then a triple-bogey 7 at the par-4 13th.

"I thought that the course set up was just perfect to identify the guys that are playing good and the guys who aren't because, as difficult as this course is, the greens were receptive," Mickelson said. "They're putting very true even though they're very fast. . . . There is a huge discrepancy between the low scores and the high scores. Obviously, I played terrible, and I deserved to shoot a score like this, but I felt like if I hit good shots, I could make birdies."
