Day, Manassero among 26 added to U.S. Open field
Jason Day, Ian Poulter and Nicolas Colsaerts were among 26 golfers earning full exemptions into the U.S. Open on Tuesday, set to take place June 13-16 at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa.
There are now 78 fully exempt players in the field.
Of the 26 exemptions on Tuesday, 25 of them came from players ranked in the top 60 of the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 27.

Points, Ian Poulter, Marcel Siem, Henrik Stenson, Richard Sterne, Kevin Streelman and Boo Weekley.
Weekley jumped 56 spots in the OWGR after his win at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial last week, moving to No. 55.
Matteo Manassero was the 26th player added on Tuesday after his win at the European Tour's BMW PGA Championship.
