Dustin Johnson climbed to No. 12 in the latest Official World Golf Ranking following his eighth career PGA Tour victory, at the WGC-HSBC Champions.
It's Johnson's highest ranking since he won the 2013 Hyundai Tournament of Champions, a victory that moved him to 12th in the world, as well.
Johnson was ranked 23rd two weeks ago after a T-12 showing at the Perth International. He has five finishes of T-12 or better in his last nine ranked events.
Ian Poulter, who finished second at the HSBC Champions, rose five spots to No. 17 while third-place finisher Graeme McDowell improved one spot to 11th.
Despite a T-6 finish in Shanghai, Rory McIlroy remained at No. 6. Phil Mickelson finished 14th at the HSBC Champions, but dropped to fourth in the world. Henrik Stenson moved into the third spot.
Also, Shiv Kapur's victory at the Dubai Festival City Challenge Tour Grand Final moved him from No. 200 to No. 142. Tjaart van der Walt won the Sunshine Tour's Lion of Africa Cape Town Open to move up 148 spots to No. 281 in the world.
