Ferris State captured the 2013 PGA Jones Cup on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs shot 13-over 589 in the 36-hole event at PGA Golf Club's Wanamaker course in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Florida State finished 10 shots back in second while Florida Gulf Coast placed third, 12 shots back.

"To come home with the trophy is a big deal, a huge deal really to these kids," said Ferris State coach Ian Ziska, a PGA head professional.

The PGA Jones Cup features 19 schools in the PGA Golf Management University program.

Chad Sandee of Ferris State took medalist honors, carding rounds of 70-73 en route to a 1-under 143 total. Ferris State's Matthew Sheperd, Florida State's Andrew Story and Nebraska's Andrew Moores tied for second at 3 over.
