Off the tee: Not happy with the shot, Tiger hits it left of the green. It is a pretty bad lie right in front of a tree.

Around the green: He couldn't get a good stance or swing at it and just to a stab at it. It moves 3 feet in front of him. Tiger chips it on from the rough and it lips out to save par.

On the green: He makes his bogey putt and now has dropped back-to-back shots.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 3 under (14 under for tournament)

Hole No. 12: Par 4, 490 yards

A good hole for Tiger after finding himself in trouble off the tee. Let's see if he can build off that momentum and solid two-putt on 10.

Off the tee: Tiger finds himself in trouble off the tee. He over cut it and ends up in the right trees. He'll have to play and another crazy cut shot.

Maybe the putter is starting to heat up?

Off the tee: Tiger finds the fairway off the tee, but will have to go straight over the water to find the green.

Approach shot: From 170-yards, Tiger stares it down, and he finds the putting surface. Just to the left of the flagstick, Tiger will have 20 feet for birdie.

On the green: Down the hill, Tiger's putt was on the correct line, but came up two inches short of the hole. Tiger makes par and goes out in 3-under 32.

• • •

Hole No. 8: Par 3, 182 yards

Tiger let a good look at birdie go to waste on that last hole. When his iron play is on, its on. Unbelievable how he can do that.

Off the tee: The iron play is still spot on. From the tee, it puts it to 8 feet at this par-3. He needs to start converting on his putts.

On the green: And he converts on this birdie attempt. Tiger is tied for second at 14 under – two shots back of the lead – with Ian Poulter.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 3 under (14 under for tournament)

A good two-putt by Tiger on No. 5, let's see if he can ring some birdies together starting on this par-4.

Off the tee: Tiger over cut it again off the tee and finds the right rough.

Approach shot: Not bad from the rough. Tiger comes up short of the hole and will have a birdie chance.

• • •

Hole No. 5: Par 3, 224 yards

A poor chip shot from green side led to a par at the second par-5 at Montgomerie Maxx Royal.

Off the tee: Asking for it to cut and it does, Tiger is on the green, safe and sound.

On the green: A lengthy birdie putt has good speed, but is not on the right line. He taps in for par.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 2 under (13 under for tournament)

Elsewhere on the course: Spain's Alejandro Canizares birdies four of his first five holes and is 13 under for the tournament and is now three shot back of the lead.

• • •

Hole No. 4: Par 5, 576 yards

More good iron play has helped Tiger made two birdies in his first three holes. Let's see if he can capitalize on another par-5.

Off the tee: Tiger takes his 3-wood off this tee as there is water up the left side of the fairway. A perfect fade places him nicely in the fairway.

Around the green: Chipping across the green, Tiger runs his shot by. He'll have 12 feet for birdie.

On the green: Doesn't take too much time over that putt, but he misses it to the left.

Elsewhere on the course: Three birdies in a row puts Victor Dubuisson in the lead at the moment at 15 under.

Off the tee: Tiger finds the right rough off the tee.

Approach shot: Despite the lie in the rough, Tiger takes a good hit at it and finds the green. Spot on with his irons, he puts it to 10 feet.

On the green: After a lot of chit-chat with his caddie Joe LaCava on the read of the putt, Tiger finds the side door for his second birdie of the day.

TIGER ON THE ROUND: 2 under (13 under for tournament)

• • •

Hole No. 2: Par 3, 162 yards

A good iron shot starts the round on the right foot for Tiger.

Off the tee: Tiger aims for the sucker pin on the par-3. He's right at the flag but just over the green on the back fringe.
