Clemson's Ramsey, Duke win Tar Heel titles

Ashlan Ramsey won her second consecutive college title with a four-shot victory at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational at Chapel Hill, N.C.
Ramsey, a freshman on the first Clemson women’s golf team that started play this fall, finished at 9-under 207 after rounds of 68-69-70. Jenny Hahn of Vanderbilt was second at 5-under 211, followed by LSU’s Caroline Nistrup and Duke’s Celina Boutier and Laetitia Beck at 4-under 212.
Ramsey has finished 2nd-1st-1st in her first three college events. She won the Lady Paladin Invitational at Furman in late September, and was second at the Cougar Classic in early September.
Boutier and Beck led Duke to the team title, with an 11-shot victory over Vanderbilt. The Blue Devils finished at 7-under 857 over North Carolina’s Finley Golf Course. It was the first victory of the year for Duke.
