Some scoring oddities after four holiday-weekend days at the Deutsche Bank Championship:

• The short par-4 fourth at TPC Boston continues to be a source of productivity for players and no one did it better than Charley Hoffman this time around. He had an eagle and three birdies to go 5 under. Seven others birdied it each day – Stenson, Matt Kuchar, Roberto Castro, Chris Kirk, Marc Leishman, Nicholas Thompson and Josh Teater.

• Not everyone feasted on the fourth, however. Bryce Molder played the hole in 2 over, Cameron Tringale and Angel Cabrera were each 1 over.

• Gary Woodland hit his second shot into the water at the par-5 second all four days. He played the shortish hole in 4 over.

• Keegan Bradley might want to share the secret of the par-3 16th with his good friend Mickelson. Bradley went 3 under there, Mickelson was 4 over.

• While 13 of TPC Boston’s 18 holes played to a field average under par, the par-4 14th was a stern test. The field average there was 4.264 and 37 percent of the total number of double-bogeys (18 of 48) were made there. Rory McIlroy played the hole in 5 over, Sergio Garcia in 4 over.

• As a testament to how much of a scoring week it was for the boys, Scott Stallings broke 70 each day – and only finished joint 35th. In all, 13 players shot in the 60s all four days, including Ian Poulter, and he had been in the 60s just three of his previous 16 rounds at TPC Boston.

• Jordan Spieth led the eagle parade, with one at each of the par 5s – the second, seventh, and 18th. Tringale and Hoffman each made two, while the field made a total of 30 for the week.
