Tour Championship: Tee times, third round
Friday, September 20, 2013
With Saturday's weather forecast in Atlanta pushing tee times unusually early for a Tour Championship round, Tiger Woods will tee off at 7:40 a.m. in the second-to-last group while leader Henrik Stenson starts the third round alongside Adam Scott and Jordan Spieth at 9 a.m.
With late tee times both days, Stenson has thrived on East Lake's front nine during the first two rounds – 5 under Thursday and 4 under Friday.
Scott, Stenson and Woods can win the $10 million FedEx Cup prize simply by winning the Tour Championship, regardless of how anybody else finishes.
In other top groups, Dustin Johnson will play alongside Justin Rose and Billy Horchsel in the group ahead of Scott and Stenson, with Keegan Bradley, Gary Woodland and Nick Watney in the next group ahead.
The forecast is for rain to begin late morning as a cold front passes over the area, continuing through the afternoon. Sunday's forecast calls for more favorable conditions.
