Three was the number for Michigan sophomore Chris O'Neill on Sept. 23 as he became the third Wolverine in the last four years to win medalist honors at the Windon Memorial.

O'Neill carded an 8-under 208 at the Knollwood Club in Lake Forest, Ill., to beat Northwestern senior Jack Perry by three shots.

In addition to O'Neill's victory, Michigan has boasted two other individual titles at the event. Lion Kim won medalist honors in 2010 to give Michigan the team title, as well. And in 2011, Matt Thompson finished as the top individual.
