Duke took home its third straight ACC women's golf title and 19th in school history Saturday, winning the ACC Championship by 27 shots at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.

The third-ranked Blue Devils also boasted the individual medalist in sophomore Celine Boutier, who capped her 3-under 210 with a final-round 70 to win her third straight tournament of the season.

Duke also boasted three other players in the top five – Laetitia Beck (second), Sandy Choi (fourth) and Yu Liu (T-5).

“I am very pleased with the way we played today,” said Duke coach Dan Brooks, who has now led the Blue Devils to 18 conference titles. “This is a tough course made tougher by the weather conditions. I’m happy with where this team is now."

Virginia (37 over), North Carolina State (38 over) and North Carolina (44 over) finished second through fourth, respectively. Notre Dame and Miami tied for fifth at 53 over.

Clemson, ranked 17th by Golfweek, tied for ninth, 59 shots back of Duke. readers: We value your input and welcome your comments, but please be respectful in this forum.
