UCF grabs lead at AAC Championship

Central Florida took the lead after the first round of the American Athletic Association Championship at the Hammock Beach Ocean Course in Palm Coast, Fla.

The Knights, ranked No. 18 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, shot a 19-over 307, four strokes ahead of Cincinnati, which sits in second at 23 over.

Four Knights are in a tie for sixth or better through 18 holes of the championship. Freshman Ashley Holder is in a tie for fourth at 4 over.

Cincinnati's Olivia Dose leads the field at 2 over.

Louisville (26 over), SMU (27 over) and Memphis (31 over) round out the top five.
