Here's a look at the picks of our staff experts:

• • •

Jim McCabe, senior writer

Favorite: Keegan Bradley

Don't forget about: Geoff Ogilvy

Keep an eye on: Russell Knox

Sleeper: Andrew Loupe

Comments: Total gut feeling with Bradley, who seemed to be trending nicely into Masters, then missed the cut. Has missed the cut last two years at Zurich, but again, it’s a gut pick. . . . As for Ogilvy, he’s showing too much promise not to offer him a look. . . . Knox has gotten himself on leaderboards frequently this season. . . . Loupe? Feel-good story as he returns to Louisiana where a big ballpark awaits, much to his pleasure.

• • •

Jeff Rude, senior writer

Favorite: Ryan Palmer

Don't forget about: Patrick Reed

Keep an eye on: Justin Rose

Sleeper: Rickie Fowler

Comments: Palmer has two seconds this year and was seventh in his last start (Houston). . . . Reed has won twice on the PGA Tour this year and is comfortable in Louisiana, where he spent much of his childhood. . . . Rose has only one top 10 this year after coming back from shoulder injury, but showed signs of life at Masters (14th). . . . Fowler has finished sixth (Houston) and fifth (Masters) in his last two starts.

• • •

Adam Schupak, senior writer

Favorite: Graham DeLaet

Don't forget about: Keegan Bradley, Nick Watney

Keep an eye on: Patrick Reed, Charles Howell III

Sleepers: Ken Duke, Andrew Loupe

Comments: DeLaet finished T-4 in Nola in 2012 and like Jason Dufner, who broke through that year with his first Tour win here, is primed for his maiden victory. . . . Bradley has the length and touch to succeed as does Watney, the 2007 champ (T-15 in '13). . . . Duke was runner-up to Watney and T-21 last year and feels the course suits his game. . . . Howell is a cash cow at this event with two seconds but never a win here. . . . Reed has Louisiana roots as does Loupe, a long-hitting, birdie in bunches type and LSU Tiger who will feel the love from Tiger Nation.
