New Mexico played to a 7-over 295 in the second round of the Mountain West Conference Championship, moving into first place at Mission Hills Country Club's Dinah Shore Tournament Course in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

Manon Molle led the Lobos, who are 14 over at 590, in round two by shooting her second-straight round of 1-under 71. She is tied with three other women for first place at 2 under. Molle has made only two bogeys through the first 36 holes.

Fresno State is close behind at 16-over 592 heading into the final round.

UNLV (17 over) is in third, San Jose State (18 over) is in fourth and Boise State San Diego State are tied for fifth at 601.
