UCLA, the No. 2 team in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, took a slight lead over No. 4 Stanford and No. 10 Arizona in the first round of the Pac-12 Championship.

The Bruins shot a 3-under 285 at the Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Ore., just one stroke better than second-place Stanford.

UCLA placed three golfers in a tie for fifth or better – Erynne Lee and Louise Ridderstrom are tied for third at 3-under 69 and Alison Lee is tied for fifth at 2-under 70. Ridderstrom posted a bogey-free round, playing the par 4s at 2 under.

Arizona took third place through the first 18 holes, shooting 1-under 287. No. 7 Washington is fourth at 2-over 290 and No. 6 Arizona State is in fifth at 3 over.

Southern California, the reigning National Champion, is in sixth place at 6-over 294. The Trojans' top player, Annie Park, is tied for fifth.
