Detroit wins Horizon League for 2nd straight year

Detroit's Lindsey Lammers took medalist honors at the Horizon League Championship.

Detroit won its second consecutive Horizon League Championship Sunday at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey in the Hills, Fla.

The Titans, led by medalist Lindsey Lammers, shot a 67-over 943, beating out runner-up Oakland by seven strokes.

Lammers shot 9 over for the weekend, finishing with a 75. Christina Thorne nabbed a third-place finish for Detroit.

Youngstown State (79 over) placed third, Valparaiso (81 over) took fourth and Cleveland State (84 over) rounded out the top five.
