Garrick, Bullington co-lead at Canadian Amateur

It might be the Canadian Amateur Championship, but two Americans lead after the first round.
UCLA junior Jonathan Garrick and Iowa senior Brian Bullington both shot 6-under 66 at Southwood Golf and Country Club in Winnipeg, Canada, on Monday. It’s the partner course to the championship course for the Canadian Am, Elmhurst Golf and Country Club.
Garrick’s 66 was bogey-free, while Bullington had two bogeys on his card.
In a tie for third are Canadian’s Josh Wytinck and Garrett Rank, plus recent Nova Southeastern graduate Ricardo Celia, of Colombia. All three players are one-shot back after rounds of 5-under 67s.
The champion earns an exemption into the 2015 RBC Canadian Open and next week’s U.S. Amateur at Atlanta Athletic Club.
