Braden Bailey, ranked 31st in the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Rankings for the Class of 2015, has given his verbal commitment to Baylor.

Bailey, who currently attends Port Neches Groves High School in Groves, Texas, was originally recruited by former Baylor coach Greg Priest, who resigned in June to become athletic director for the Tyler (Texas) Independent School District. Now, he'll play college golf for new Bears head coach Mike McGraw.

"The process was a little overwhelming at times and I talked to a lot of great schools. I was looking for a school that had a great balance of academics and athletics," said Bailey, who also made visits to Arizona State, Houston, Lamar, Rice, North Texas and Vanderbilt.

"Once I found out that Coach McGraw was going the become the next Baylor University head golf coach, I felt very fortunate. We have communicated several times and the fit could not better for me."

Bailey has five career top 10s in eight AJGA events, including a second-place finish at the 2014 Billiardfactory.com Patrick Reed Open. He also won the 2013 Texas Cup Invitational.
