Preseason rank: 16
Final 2013-14 Golfweek/Sagarin ranking: 10
2013-14 in review: Oklahoma’s season was built around a talented foursome of seniors that spent their college careers rewriting Sooner history books. Those four, with considerable help from freshman Alex Kaui, finished a program-best fourth at the NCAA Championship in their home state. The season included two victories, including the Big 12 Championship, and a handful of top 5s.
Notable departures: Chirapat Jao-Javanil, Emily Collins, Anne-Catherine Tanguay, Kaitlyn Rohrback
Key returnee: Alex Kaui
Newcomers of note: Hannah Wood, Rylee Pedigo, Ana Ruiz,
Fall outlook: Kaui soaked in considerable experience during her time with Oklahoma’s standout senior class, and should be well prepared to lead this team. Sophomore Maggie Neece also will bring experience after logging playing time in three events last year. Head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell has a young team this year, and it’s hard to predict how a crop of freshman will far in the fall, but the women’s golf culture has effectively been changed in Norman, Okla.
