'Bama, Cal players highlight Hogan Award watch list

Four Alabama players and three Cal players were included on the 2014 Ben Hogan Award watch list, which was released Wednesday.

In all, 30 players were named to the list for the award, which is given annually to the top college men's player. Results in college and amateur events in the past 12 months are considered.

The list of 10 semifinalists will be released April 16. The three finalists will be named May 7. The winner will be announced during a banquet May 18 at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, before the PGA Tour's Crowne Plaza Invitational.
