Rain halts AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is in a weather delay, just 39 minutes into Thursday’s first round.
At 8:39 a.m. local time, play was suspended and players were taken off the three courses: Monterey Peninsula Country Club, Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach Golf Links. Wind and rain created standing water on some of the greens, making the courses unplayable.
James Hahn, Stuart Appleby, Jason Day, Daniel Chopra and James Driscoll were atop the leaderboard at 1 under par when play was suspended.
The suspension might last a while, the PGA Tour said, with consistent rain and wind pelting the Monterey Peninsula area throughout the day.
