Stanford shot 3-over 287 on Saturday during the first round of the Peg Barnard Invitational to lead by four shots. Mariah Stackhouse and Casey Danielson lead the way for the Cardinal with 1-under 70s.

UC Davis sits in second place after a 7-over 291, four shots back of Stanford. San Jose State is another shot back at 8 over. Denver shot an 11-over 295 good for fourth place after the first round, while Oregon is in fifth at 12-over.

UNLV’s Dana Finkelstein and California’s Lucia Gutierrez are tied for the lead on the individual leaderboard with a 2-under 69. There is a five-way tie for third place at 1-under, which includes Stanford’s Stackhouse and Danielson, Oregon’s Cassy Isagawa, Oregon State’s Lauren Sewell and San Jose State’s Rachelle Reali.
