The Prestige at PGA West draws top teams

Nine top-50 teams will head to the PGA West's Greg Norman course in La Quinta, Calif., Monday through Wednesday for The Prestige at PGA West.

Stanford and UC Davis will co-host the event as USC looks for its first win of the spring.

The teams will play 54 holes at the par 72, 7,096-yard course.

The teams appearing in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings top 50 include: Arizona State (No. 34), LSU (No. 35), Oregon (No. 50), San Diego State (No. 47), USC (No. 23), Stanford (No. 11), Texas Tech (No. 44), UCLA (No. 20) and Washington (No. 12).

The remainder of the field includes Pepperdine, UC Davis and Stirling, a school in Scotland.

The Trojans and the Huskies finished in a tie for first last year after both teams finished at 1-under.

Four players that sit in the top-25 of the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings will tee off at the event, including Washington's Cheng-Tsung Pan (No. 13), Stanford's Cameron Wilson (No. 16) and Patrick Rodgers (No. 22) and UCLA's Lorens Chan (No. 21).
