Stanford duo helps Cardinal to lead at The Prestige

Maverick McNealy and Patrick Rodgers each carded 6-under 66s, and Stanford opened with a 15-under 269 to grab the first-round lead at The Prestige at PGA West.

The Cardinal, ranked 10th in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, leads San Diego State by 11 shots while UCLA is third at 2 under. McNealy, a freshman, and Rodgers, a junior, are tied for the individual lead, three shots ahead of a group of four players whoa re tied for third. That group includes a third Cardinal player, Cameron Wilson, as well as LSU's Curtis Thompson.

Oregon is fourth at 1 over while Washington and LSU are tied for fifth at 2 over.
