Auburn defended its Mobile Bay Intercollegiate title in its home state on Feb. 18.

The Tigers, ranked 26th in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, shot a 6-under 858 at Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course to win the event by six shots over Kentucky. Auburn senior Niclas Carlsson and freshman Will Long both finished in the top 3.

Memphis finished in third – one shot back of Kentucky. Georgia State finished at 2-over 866 and Middle Tennessee State at 6 over.

Wake Forest freshman Clancy Waugh won the tournament at 6-under 210 with rounds of 68-74-68. Waugh became the first freshman Demon Deacon to win a tournament since 2004 and only the 11th freshman at Wake to win an event.

Carlsson and Middle Tennessee State’s Payne Denman, who were tied for first after the second-round, finished second and tied for third, respectively. Denman, Georgia State’s J.J. Grey and Damon Stephenson, Long, and Kentucky’s Stephen Powers were in the log-jam tied for third.
