Oklahoma St. eyes 4th straight at Hayt Collegiate

When Oklahoma State tees it up Sunday in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., it will be seeking its fourth straight win.

The Cowboys face four other top-50 teams in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational at Sawgrass Country Club. The field will play 54 holes over three days on the par-72, 7,001-yard course.

The field includes Alabama-Birmingham (No. 11), Central Florida (No. 8), Coastal Carolina, Furman, GRU Augusta, Jacksonville, Liberty (No. 30), Louisville, North Carolina-Wilmington, North Florida, North Texas, Oklahoma State (No. 3), Tennessee (No. 45), Troy and Tulsa.

Oklahoma State's most recent victory came at the Amer Ari Invitational in Hawaii. Host North Florida also has a victory this spring, having shared the title at the Sea Best Invitational.

"We always look forward to hosting the Hayt," North Florida head coach Scott Schroeder said in a release. "The team is well prepared heading into competition, and the course is in tremendous shape. Our tournament field is always filled with tough teams, and we are excited about playing alongside Oklahoma State and Tennessee in the first round. This is event is also a great opportunity for us to play in front of a supportive home crowd."

Last year, North Florida took the title by 12 strokes.
