Travelers doesn't plan on relinquishing the title of “Official Property Casualty Insurance Provider of the PGA TOUR, and Champions Tour,” any time soon.

The insurance company announced an extension of its marketing relationship with the Tour through 2018 and a 10-year title sponsorship extension of the Travelers Championship through 2024 Thursday at a press conference with the company and PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem.

Travelers became the official sponsor of the event held in Cromwell, Conn., in 2007. The Travelers Championship is scheduled for June 19-22 this year.

“As a longstanding pillar of the Greater Hartford community, Travelers took the significant step in 2007 to assure this tournament’s future and the continuation of its significant charitable and economic impact,” Finchem said in a release. “Since that time, the tournament has continued to prosper and remain a tremendous asset to the entire region, thanks to the outstanding partnership between the host organization and Travelers. We are thrilled that this legacy will continue, and we are delighted to expand our relationship with Travelers through our Official Marketing Partner Program.”

Since 1952, the Travelers Championship has helped raise more than $31 million for charities in Connecticut.

Last year, Ken Duke won the tournament, which is held at TPC River Highlands.
